Megan Boswell MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Megan is a highly skilled and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a Master of Nursing Science degree from South University, Virginia Beach, VA. With over 10 years of combined experience in direct patient care and primary care settings, She has a strong track record of delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for patients.
Throughout their career, Megan has worked in various roles, including as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. Their experience also includes working in the Cardiovascular Observation Unit, where they gained expertise in managing complex cardiovascular conditions. She is committed to providing compassionate care while focusing on patient health and well-being.
Christina Barnett, FNP-C
Christina earned her Associates of Nursing at Owens Community College in Ohio in 2005. She continued to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated in 2014. While raising 3 children with her husband who is in the military, and working she went back to school through the University of Colorado Colorado Springs to reach her ultimate goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Christina is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
It has been a life's passion to help those in her community by improving health, wellness and the quality of life by providing patient centered care. Her focus is on prevention as well as management of illness through a holistic approach that is tailored to each individual. She has been a Registered nurse since 2005 and has worked at the bedside until 2020 when she started at the Allergy and Asthma Center as a Nurse Practitioner.
She started her career on a medical surgical floor and progressed to the Vascular ICU at Norfolk General where she worked for over 5 years. In 2014, she moved to Germany with her family where she was a school Nurse at the High School on base. She moved back to Virginia Beach in 2017 and worked at the Cardiac Care Unit at Virginia Beach General until she started her work here at the Allergy and Asthma Center.
As much as Christina enjoys her work, she loves spending time with her family. She loves to spend time outdoors and camping, especially in her families RV. her families favorite place to camp is Lake Gaston. There is nothing like waking up to the view of the sun over the water with trees above your head and the earth beneath your feet.
